US$1.9 million will be invested in Ciudad Juárez

CIUDAD JUAREZ – The governor of Chihuahua, Javier Corral Jurado, formally announced the construction of the overpass on Arizona Avenue and Juan Pablo II Boulevard in Ciudad Juárez, with an investment of US$1.9 million, benefiting 1.3 million people.

“I want to emphasize that it is not only the work of a bridge, it is actually a set of infrastructure works that will happen throughout the city and will be put in place to comprehensively solve problems that the city has had in the lag for decades,” said Corral Jurado.

This work is part of the Investment Plan of 2019-2021, which will be of about US$263 million. This plan will be made public in August and is the first work of the Mobility Plan that the state government contemplates for Ciudad Juárez.

The work consists of an elevated bridge with a length of 500 meters, with a width of 8.80 meters, two lanes of circulation in one direction, the structure formed by two clearings of 24 meters each, 428 meters of walls mechanically stabilized in their access ramps, garrisons, and parapets.
