CIUDAD JUAREZ – The tourism sector in Ciudad Juárez had an economic spill increase of 96.2% compared to 2018, as announced by the Director of Tourism of the State of Chihuahua, Nathalie Desplas Puel.
Likewise, he explained that from January to June of this year, the economic spill for tourism at the border was of US$163 million, while, in the same half of 2018, the economic spill was of US$83 million.
The main source of income for this is night tourism, which grew 83.79%, comparing the first half of this year with the same period of 2018.
Regarding hotel occupancy in the city, there was a moderate increase of 6.79%, which represented an increase in the number of rooms of 10.15% during that period.
