COAHUILA – Coahuila reports an investment of US$252 million from local and foreign companies that have decided to settle in the entity because of the advantages offered by the entity, said Jaime Guerra Pérez, secretary of economy of Coahuila.
Guerra Pérez said there are 117 projects, of which 69 have already confirmed their investment in the state and 47 are in process.
“When this administration started, 16 investment projects were already confirmed, which means that we have already exceeded the figure of 100 projects, thanks to the trust that has been placed in the state. Even with all national and international problems, the entity continues to grow,” said the secretary.
He also explained that work has been done on the diversification of the economy by promoting projects in regions other than the Southeast of the state.
Guerra Pérez said that the priority at this time is to bring companies to the Laguna, Centro, and Carbonífera regions, insisting that the Southeast and North areas have an important development, which has been perceived with a decline in the Southeast region of up to 43%.
