MONTERREY – For the remainder of the year there is a budget of US$100 million to tender and execute public works in Nuevo León, and next year the figure would amount to US$553 million, officials of the three government orders indicated.
On the one hand, the Center of the Secretariat of Communications and Transportation (SCT) Nuevo León has allocations of the order of US$179 million for investment in state infrastructure for the year of 2019.
“This figure is coming from the Federation Expenditure Budget of US$61 million for the conservation and maintenance of roads, US$27 million for rail transport, US$15 million for public private partnerships, US$65 million for concessional roads, as well as federal roads and bridges for US$9.7 million,” said Ramón Mancillas Esparza, director of the SCT Nuevo León.
However, he considered that this figure will double in the budget for 2020, because some works will not be finished this year.
Mancillas Esparza said that one of the most important of these projects is the modernization of the Monterrey-Reynosa highway, in the Cadereyta-La Sierrita section, which has a physical progress of 15% and is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
