MONTERREY – With an investment of US$15.4 million, the first assembler for green buses will be installed in the municipality of El Carmen, which will have the capacity to produce 4,800 units annually, as reported by the governor of Nuevo León, Jaime Rodríguez Calderón.
It should be noted that this investment is thanks to the union of the Golden Star 4000 company and the Chinese originator, Zhongtong Bus Holding Co. Ltd. This alliance will have as its main technology natural gas.
While the plant is being built, the Golden Star 4000 company already has 17 units circulating in the country.
The governor said that they have already begun to hire these trucks for an express route, which goes from the municipality of García to Ruiz Cortines to the west of Monterrey. The route is expected to be ready before the month of November.
Rodríguez Calderón explained that green trucks include technology with indoor and outdoor cameras. Likewise, the units are air-conditioned and offer wireless internet service.
