EL PASO, TX – With the announcement of the upcoming remodeling of the Cordova-Americas border bridge, issued by the authorities of El Paso, Texas, authorities in Ciudad Juarez convened a meeting to discuss the concerns that this work could generate in the daily life of the border community.
The meeting highlighted the importance of creating efficient connectivity while the border bridge undergoes the remodeling process in the commercial area, with the objective of ensuring that activities continue smoothly.
Also discussed was the strengthening of coordination between the different levels of government, as well as the planning and consideration of alternate routes to be used.
Officials also discussed strategies to minimize the impact on the community and ensure the smoothest possible transition.
The El Paso authorities also presented areas of opportunity in the economic and academic fields, with the objective of strengthening the economy and ensuring that the markets of both nations are not affected during the bridge remodeling period.
The session was attended by personnel from the Department of Binational Affairs of the Ministry of Innovation and Economic Development and the Chihuahua Border Bridge Trust.
