MONTERREY, NL – Afni, a U.S. business process outsourcing company, will open its first offices in Mexico in Monterrey, where it will create more than 600 jobs over the course of this year.
The company will serve global clients in sectors such as telecommunications, financial services and technology from its Monterrey office.
Emmanuel Loo, Undersecretary of Investment of the Nuevo León Ministry of Economy, highlighted that Afni’s arrival is a sign that the state offers a favorable environment for foreign investment.
“Companies like Afni know that in Nuevo León they find prepared human capital, infrastructure and other conditions that help their expansion,” said Loo.
Since the state government began in October 2021, 216 investment projects have been confirmed (105 expansions and 111 new investments), representing more than $45 billion dollars and the creation of up to 250,000 jobs.
Of these projects, 18 belong to the IT and Software sector, to which Afni has now been added. Ron Greene, CEO of the company, said the company’s expansion into Mexico reflects its deliberate growth strategy.
“With our successful growth in the Philippines and our long-standing presence in the United States, this expansion into Monterrey provides our team with an exciting opportunity to support new and existing clients throughout the entire customer cycle,” Greene said.
