TAMAULIPAS – The Tamaulipas Institute for Migrants and the Ministry of Tourism of Tamaulipas signed a collaboration agreement to promote the beauty of Tamaulipas among the migrant community living in the United States.
According to the Government of Tamaulipas, the objective of the agreement is to stimulate the enjoyment of the tourist sites, cultural and natural attractions offered by the state, strengthening the bond of belonging between migrants and their homeland.
Juan José Rodríguez Alvarado, general director of the Tamaulipas Institute for Migrants, mentioned that this agreement seeks to encourage migrants to visit Tamaulipas more frequently and for a longer period of time, thus boosting the local economy.
Present at the signing of the agreement were Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez, Secretary of Tourism of Tamaulipas; Eliseo Castillo Tejeda, representing the Secretary General of Government, Héctor Joel Villegas González; Elvia Verónica Loredo Hernández, Undersecretary of Tourism Development and Promotion, as well as various state and municipal officials and members of civil society.
Rodriguez Alvarado emphasized that this initiative is part of the governor’s instruction to keep Tamaulipans in the United States connected with their roots, promoting tourism in the state.
