COAHUILA – The weight of the company Altos Hornos de México y Subsidiarias (AHMSA) in the economy of Coahuila oscillates 8% points, according to annual reports of AHMSA and INEGI numbers.
According to AHMSA’s annual report, its total assets amounted US$3.3 billion in 2018, while the most updated INEGI data shows that the Coahuila economy registered a value of US$40.6 million in 2017.
In addition, AHMSA’s productive activities contributed around 15% points to the Coahuila industry.
The company maintains the operation of two steel plants in Monclova, Coahuila, as well as extractive activities of several minerals, such as iron, silver, gold and copper.
