APODACA – The mayor of Apodaca, César Garza Villarreal, presumed that the entity is the fourth exporting municipality in Mexico and that it houses 70% of the industrial parks of Nuevo León.

The mayor reported that new world-class companies were installed in the city, which shows that it is the main attraction for foreign industry.

“Apodaca is the industrial capital of Nuevo León. Only this year, world-class companies such as Jabil, Schneider, Across Whilpool, among many others arrived at the entity,” Garza Villarreal said.

However, the leader did not provide numbers or data of the economic spill that represents the installation of these four companies, nor the construction of these industrial parks.

Villarreal revealed that 14 industrial parks are currently in the permitting phase, among which are: Nexxus, Millenium Innova, Adnext, Avante, International Business Park, and Villacero, which in sum represent more than 3 million square meters for industrial use.

He also noted that Apodaca is by far the main generator of industrial employment over other metropolitan municipalities, with more than 9,000 direct jobs this year.
