ARIZONA – Monsoon rains in Arizona have damaged the structure of the border fence that was installed to prevent illegal entry into the United States.
The deterioration was recently detected in the area of the San Bernardino National Wildlife Refuge, where there was damage to several metal gates that divide the United States from Mexico.
The fence was installed on the orders of then-president Donald Trump, placing more than 400 miles of border barrier, the vast majority in the Arizona area.
However, the heavy rains registered in the sector last week left the hinges of some metal panels detaching due to the force of the drag water.
The images were disseminated through social networks, revealing that Donald Trump’s work was not designed to withstand heavy rainfall.
The United States Customs and Border Protection office confirmed the damage and announced that they are evaluating the damage to the metal infrastructure.
The construction of this fence has been stopped since the administration of president Joe Biden began, even the contracts that were pending were canceled.
