ARIZONA – The Arizona Small Business Association (ASBA), in collaboration with the Arizona Commerce Authority announced the launch of Trucking One Stop, a platform to support both aspiring and current truckers.
The new platform considered all-in-one, empowers Arizona truck drivers by providing valuable information and connections, equipping users with the tools they need to confidently navigate the trucking industry.
The Trucking One Stop website features an advanced AI Trucking Assistant that offers personalized support for every step of the journey, from obtaining a CDL license and navigating Arizona regulations to financial planning and job searches. In addition to AI support, the platform offers a robust library of educational resources, offering practical career planning advice and solutions to common industry challenges.
“The trucking industry remains a crucial part of the U.S. economy, yet its complex entry requirements pose significant challenges for both new and experienced drivers. The complex vocabulary and nuanced credential requirements are often not explained to workers, creating a significant barrier to entry,” said Eric Knott, CEO of FinePoint HR.
Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority, explained that truck drivers perform crucial logistics functions in support of Arizona’s high-tech advanced manufacturing sectors, so she welcomed collaborations to support that industry.
Trucking One Stop is supported by a $500,000 appropriation in Arizona’s FY 2024 budget.
The U.S. trucking industry currently faces a shortage of more than 80,000 drivers, a number that could increase to 160,000 by 2030, according to estimates by the Arizona Commerce Authority.
The shortage could be exacerbated by widespread confusion over critical concepts, such as CDL requirements, endorsements, and various pay structures, as well as complexities surrounding employer incentives.
ASBA has invited you to explore truckingonestop.com to expand options and embark on a journey in the trucking industry.
