The Banco Nacional de Comercio Exterior (Bancomext) approved a loan of US$102 million for the AT Engine Mexico aerospace plant located in Hermosillo, Sonora.
Through a press release, the financial institution explained that said loan is part of a US$297 million investment made by AT Engine Mexico, an ally of the companies Grupo Punto Alto (Mexico) and Aerotech Peissenberg (Germany). “The project will generate more than 300 direct jobs in the region and will bring investments for the supply chain in the aeronautical sector,” the press release announced.
The plant in Hermosillo will execute machining of high precision components for LEAP turbines, in addition, it will manage technology of greater efficiency in fuel consumption. However, the plant will perform various turbine renovations as well.
