Berry People announced the start of its season of organic strawberries in Baja California, Mexico, after having recently completed a successful first year of operations. These high-quality strawberries, which are now available in the 8x1lb and 12×8.8oz formats, will increase in volume in January, reaching their peak from February to April, but will decrease in June.
Baja California’s strawberry season comes at a time when the production in the US is limited, which gives retailers and their customers an attractive alternative to a reliable supply of organic fruits.
“We are thankful for our strong following on Baja California’s organic strawberries, due largely to the quality of work done by our alliance partner in that region,” said Jerald Downs, president of Berry People.
