The Hunt Center for Entrepreneurship at New Mexico State University’s Arrowhead Center concluded the *Borderplex Fundraising Sprint 2025*, a six-week program designed to support entrepreneurs in the Borderplex region and the city of Chihuahua in seeking funding for their projects.
The initiative was organized in collaboration with *Startup Chihuahua* and *Startup Juárez*, and was supported by the Municipal Government of Chihuahua and the Instituto de Apoyo al Desarrollo Tecnológico. Its objective was to provide practical tools to strengthen fundraising capabilities among entrepreneurs in the region.
The program offered weekly sessions focused on developing presentations for investors, understanding financial instruments and preparing strategies to attract capital. It also included interactive workshops, mentoring and a final online presentation in front of regional investors.
Carlos Murguía, director of the Hunt Center, noted that the collaborative approach of the program allowed for cross-border interaction among participants, which favored the exchange of ideas and experiences.
Andrés Guzmán, director of Startup Chihuahua, noted that the program helped entrepreneurs gain greater clarity and confidence in approaching investors.
The Borderplex Fundraising Sprint was designed as a practical platform to prepare early-stage startups, from the creation of presentations to the processes necessary to negotiate and access capital.
The program is part of the efforts of several binational organizations to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in a region with growth potential, but facing challenges in terms of access to investment.
