Bosch invests in Sonora

The German company Bosch invested US$2.75 million in its new Hermosillo, Sonora plant, for a project of regionalization for America, with a goal to enter the North and South American markets. Rene Schlegel, President of Robert Bosch Mexico, informed that the Security Systems ´s division has achieved the strongest growth in Mexico

, with a 50% increase in sales over the last year. Bosch has 10 factories of electronic, automotive, aerospace, sound, surveillance and electronic security products operating in Mexico, with over 12 thousand employees and sales that topped US$3 billion in 2014, reported Mr. Schlegel. Bosch is surveying the Mexican market, especially the sector addressed by its Hermosillo plant, as 33% of the production is sold locally, leading to an increase in sales. Currently, there are 130 employees at this plant and a major expansion is projected to quadruple its production capacity. Bernhard Schuster, CEO of Bosch in Germany, said that operating in Hermosillo has been a crucial decision for the future expansion of the company, since this location offers experienced workers and excellent conditions.
