JUAREZ, CHIH – BRP inaugurated its new logistics center for the three facilities belonging to the Juarez campus, with the objective of strengthening its operations in the border region.
Regis Gagnon, vice president of BRP Campus Juarez, commented that the logistics industry faces many challenges, extremely linked to the dynamics of technology and the supply chain. From managing complex systems, to optimizing operations, addressing these challenges becomes crucial to having a healthy supply chain network and a successful business.
We are looking to increase operational efficiency through a centralized system and consolidated inventory data, allowing for the highest standards of warehousing and logistical flexibility,” said Gagnon.
The logistics center, with an area of approximately 26,000 square meters, is located in the Vesta Industrial Park in El Porvenir, Zaragoza, at 771 Juarez Highway, Building 3, close to the U.S.-Mexico border bridges, main avenues and minutes from BRP’s other sites and yards in Juarez.
In this regard, Héctor Rafael Ortiz Orpinel, Secretary of City Hall, reiterated that there is a commitment on the part of the Municipal Government so that businessmen decide to invest in the city.
”BRP decided to continue expanding its presence in Juarez by investing in a centralized, internally operated logistics center to allow for greater productivity, more efficient material processing and redefined warehousing capabilities to better respond to demand and the ever-changing challenges of the industry’s supply chain,” stated Orpinel.
According to the company, the Leed-certified building implements green building practices that address areas such as energy, water, waste and indoor air quality.
