Busch Vacuum Solutions, part of the Busch Group, announced the construction of a Service Center in Tempe, Arizona, covering almost 5,600 square meters. The facility is scheduled to open in October 2025 and is expected to generate skilled jobs in the region.
The center will focus on the repair, maintenance, and overhaul of vacuum pumps, vacuum systems, and overpressure equipment, including turbomolecular pumps, leak detectors, valves, and accessories. The plant will serve customers in sectors such as semiconductors, industrial, medical, and environmental, offering technical support and faster response times for the southwestern United States and other areas of the country.
According to the company, the expansion aims to increase service capacity and operational flexibility for its customers, as well as strengthen Busch’s presence in North America.
Local representatives highlighted the economic potential of the investment. Sandra Watson, president of the Arizona Commerce Authority, noted that the new plant could contribute to the development of the semiconductor industry and advanced manufacturing in Tempe. For his part, Thomas Maynard, interim director of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, said the facility will enable the company to serve a diverse customer base and strengthen the regional supply chain.
Tempe Mayor Corey Woods said the arrival of the plant will create skilled jobs and strengthen the area’s industrial infrastructure, although he did not offer specific figures on the economic impact.
Busch Vacuum Solutions has more than 8,000 employees worldwide, of which more than 1,200 are in the United States. Its vacuum technologies are used in sectors such as automotive, food and beverage, metallurgy, pharmaceuticals, plastics, and large-scale distribution. The company says the expansion in Tempe is part of its strategy to increase operational resilience and proximity to customers in different markets.
