Representatives of the maquiladora industry and academia participated in work tables to analyze and update the curricula of Index University 2025 in areas such as Mechatronics, Business Operations and Information Technology.
The meetings were held in the auditorium of Index Juárez and were attended by directors of the Universidad Tecnológica de Ciudad Juárez (UTCJ), executives from different companies and members of Index Juárez.
The event was inaugurated by the rector of UTCJ, Oscar Fidencio Ibáñez Hernández, and the national advisor María Teresa Delgado, representing the president of Index Juárez, Jaime Ávila.
During the event, the importance of adapting the academic offer to the needs of the productive sector was highlighted. Ibañez Hernandez pointed out that the Universidad Index specialization program requires constant evaluation to align it with the labor market demand.
More than ten companies, including Lexmark, Toro Company, Keytronic, Honeywell, Inventec, Nidec, ZF and Siemens, participated in the review of the educational programs. Career directors and the academic secretary, Hugo García, supervised the work and collaborated in the structuring of the study plans.
These types of meetings seek to strengthen the link between industry and academia, with the aim of providing graduates with the skills required in the manufacturing sector.
