Carrier started staffing cuts at the Indianapolis factory.

Around 600 jobs will be eliminated over the following months, said the United Technologies unit. The Company, specialized in making electronic home appliances such as fans, air conditioner and refrigeration equipment, has announced its plans to move their plant from Indiana to Nuevo Leon, in an estimated time of three years. According to information from Bloomberg and The Wall Street Journal, the Corporation informed that it will open 1,300 jobs in Mexico: 600 relocated from the Indianapolis plant and another 700 from a second factory closing in Huntington, Indiana.
