Chemours to invest in Tamaulipas

The chemicals company will expand the installed capacity of their Titanium Dioxide plant in Altamira, Tamaulipas, investing US$150 million to complete this year the investment of US$580 million

, announced on 2013, to duplicate production and reach a total capacity of 350,000 million tonnes by the end of this year and export them mainly to Europe and Southamerica. Chemours is a division of Dupont firm, integrating titanium business since 2014, fluoroproducts and chemical solutions. Luis Rebollar, General Director in Mexico detailed that last year these three businesses generated sales to a global level for US$6.4 billion, being 7% made in Mexico.
