CHIHUAHUA – An investment of US$7.5 million contributed by Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (Conacyt) will create 7 specialized laboratories for the aerospace industry; one of them will be installed in Chihuahua in charge of the company HT-MX and the rest will be built at Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo León and ITESM, Campus Monterrey
HT-MX’s general director, Humberto Ramos, said that 7 laboratories are already in the process of installation, all will be focused on additive technologies and manufacturing which is the trend in aerospace industry and range from x-ray analysis for 3D parts, development of 3D inclusion techniques and post-printing processes.
The infrastructure in Chihuahua will be developed in the company HT-MX that will work with the isostatic hot pressing process, necessary to give certain properties of hardness, elimination of pores, increase the partial or total resistance to the parts made with additive technologies and manufactured in 3D, among others.
Humberto Ramos assured that HT-MX will contribute as well with these laboratories installation with around US$3.0 million.
