CHIHUAHUA – A total of 75 Chihuahua producers presented their products during the Soriana 2024 Business Meeting, organized by the Ministry of Innovation and Economic Development.
The meeting was attended by Gabriel Baldini, Soriana’s commercial director, as well as the purchasing team of the commercial chain to meet with each of the participating companies, in order to learn in detail about their stories, the products they offer and their production capacity.
“Chihuahua is the first state where we have done something of this magnitude with producers. It was key to have the support of a great team that knows what it takes to make this happen,” said Baldini.
The commercial director of the chain expressed the company’s interest in continuing to expand its reach throughout the state of Chihuahua, not only with the opening of new stores, but also with projects and initiatives that can facilitate the development of food and beverage producing families.
For his part, Soriana’s director, Carlos Barroso, highlighted the importance of raising awareness and being close to rural producers. The commercial chain adapts the distribution volume according to the capacity of each company, which facilitates its adaptation to this new sales channel.
With the business meeting, it is estimated that 40 brands can be integrated into the supply chain of Soriana stores in the state, and some nationwide.
The companies were selected through a call launched by the Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Business Development.
