CHIHUAHUA – A total of 17 companies from the state of Chihuahua participated in the “Walmart Growth Summit Mexico 2024” to promote the participation of local companies in the retail supply chain.
More than 350 companies participated in the event and during the convention business meetings were held that resulted in promising agreements for local producers, opening up new opportunities for collaboration with the important multinational.
The Chihuahua companies that participated were Artefactum, Brownie de Oro, Carne Seca Garduza, Cerveza Delicia, Cremeria Camargo, Cucho Produce, Diamond Tarps, Don Caballero, El Herradero Carne Seca, LATTERA, Organización Real Foods, Productos Gastronómicos Doña Manuelita, StevialifAR, Tortillería San Luis GPO, Vica Delicias, Yeez and Zana.
Among the possibilities explored was the signing of an agreement that seeks to promote micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Chihuahua, thus strengthening the regional economy, according to the Ministry of Innovation and Economic Development.
In addition, talks were initiated for the organization of a business meeting in the state of Chihuahua with the Walmart chain, in order to offer greater support to local producers and strengthen the region’s economy.
The event was attended by prominent Walmart leaders, including the Regional CEO of Walmart Mexico, Central America, Chile and Canada, Guilherme Loureiro, and other senior executives of the corporation, who reaffirmed Walmart’s commitment to the growth and development of local companies in Mexico.
