The mine of San Julian, located in the Municipality of Guadalupe y Calvo, South of the State of Chihuahua, represents the most important project with the greatest amount of investment from the company Fresnillo Mexico, which has been allotted US$515 million to start operations.
According to the Mexican Mining Chamber (CAMIMEX), this mining company has 11 new projects for silver production, that will require investment worth over US$1.66 billion and that will be developed between 2016 and 2019 in different Sates of Mexico. The Ministry of Economy remarked that this type of investment represents a major advance for the State and a source of employment for the local population, besides an important capital out pour.
