The Ministry of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE) has launched the call for applications for the third edition of the Short-term Professional Training Program in Washington D.C., aimed at young professionals interested in developing their careers in international environments.
The program is aimed at students and graduates of universities in Chihuahua, between 20 and 30 years of age, with a minimum academic average of 90, advanced command of English and previous experience in professional practices.
Those selected will receive a full scholarship that will cover all program expenses, allowing them to focus on strengthening their professional skills.
Ulises Fernández Gamboa, head of SIDE, emphasized that the objective is for participants to strengthen their skills and discover areas of specialization in an international context.
The initiative is carried out in collaboration with the U.S. Mexico Foundation and the Institute for Innovation and Competitiveness (I2C), and has benefited 35 young people from Chihuahua through an investment of more than US$341.888, fostering the development of future leaders and strengthening the link between Mexico and the United States.
During the stay, which can last up to three months, the participants will have the opportunity to collaborate in companies, international organizations, consultancies, think tanks and research centers in Washington D.C.
At a press conference, Marco Rodriguez, a beneficiary of a previous edition, thanked Governor Maru Campos for her support and noted that the program allowed him to develop skills in project management, international communication, negotiations and strategic alliances.
