Seven local producers from Chihuahua participated in the FOODEX Japan 2025 international fair, a food and beverage event held in Tokyo that brings together buyers from different parts of the world. The presence of these producers was supported by the Ministries of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE) and Rural Development (SDR).
In the Mexican Pavilion, which included more than 51 Mexican companies, participants from Chihuahua presented products such as meat, pecan nuts, applesauce, wine, sotol and jalapeño peppers. The agribusinesses involved come from the municipalities of Galeana, Juárez, Cuauhtémoc, Camargo and Delicias.
The companies Procesadora Río San Pedro, Blue Mountain Foods, Agua Nueva, Agronegocios Cuauhtémoc, Vinícola Amelia, Sotoleros Hacienda de Ángeles and Agrocosa exhibited their products to international buyers in order to expand their presence in the Asian market.
The trade of agro-industrial products between Chihuahua and Japan is framed within agreements such as the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (TIPAT) and the Mexico-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (AAEMJ), which facilitate access to this market.
Participation in FOODEX Japan 2025 represents an opportunity to strengthen the presence of Chihuahua products internationally and establish trade links with new customers.
