CHIHUAHUA – With the objective of strengthening commercial ties between Chihuahua and Taiwan, state authorities participated in a business mission organized by the Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers Association (TEEMA).
The Chihuahua delegation, headed by the Undersecretary of Innovation, Competitiveness and Economic Business Development, Ulises Fernandez, held meetings with government officials, business meetings and visits to different corporations, mainly focused on the semiconductor industry.
During the mission, they exchanged points of view with representatives of companies in the microchip and printed circuit board sector, such as Foxconn, Inventec, Wistron, Pegatron, Amkor and First Hi-tec Enterprise, where they presented Chihuahua’s investment opportunities in high-tech areas of the electric-electronic industry.
Meetings were also held with academic and government authorities, with whom they discussed the development of talent, science and technology, which consolidates the basis for future collaborations and the strengthening of commercial ties with Taiwan.
The mission concluded with the participation in the TEEMA Global Networking Forum 2023, where the director of Prodech, Alejandro Jaschack gave the conference “The state of Chihuahua, its competitive advantages and incentive program”.
In addition, representatives of Taiwanese companies with presence in Chihuahua, such as Inventec, Foxconn and Winstron, gave testimonials about their experience of investing in the state.
