Chihuahua to Host 2025 International Semiconductor Forum, Drawing Global Experts

Chihuahua city is set to host the 2025 International Semiconductor Forum on October 9 and 10, positioning the state as a focal point for the industry in Mexico. The event will be held at the Center for Advanced Materials Research (Cimav) located within the Chihuahua Industrial Park.

Organized in coordination with Cimav and other institutions, including Cenaltec and the University of Texas at Dallas, the forum aims to convene national and international specialists. The agenda will feature conferences, panel discussions, and technical tours focused on emerging technologies, integrated circuit development, and current industry trends.

The forum is designed for a wide audience, including specialists, young professionals, entrepreneurs, and academic leaders, to foster dialogue between research and industrial applications. Featured speakers will include experts like Manuel Quevedo from the University of Texas at Dallas, and Edmundo Gutiérrez and Fernando Alba from SIDE.

In a related effort to develop specialized talent, the organization SIDE has allocated significant funding for an International Diploma in Semiconductors. According to provided figures, 720,000 pesos have been designated for the program, with 400,000 pesos funding the 2025 edition that produced 32 graduates.
