The 10th International Dairy Forum will be held on Thursday, April 3 at the Chihuahua Convention and Exhibition Center, with the attendance of more than 1,500 people and the participation of representatives from invited countries such as Spain, Canada and France.
The event aims to promote the exchange of experiences and strategies of successful public policies implemented in other countries, with the purpose of strengthening the dairy sector in Mexico.
Mauro Parada Muñoz, head of the Secretariat of Rural Development (SDR), underscored the importance of generating spaces for dialogue to discuss the sector’s needs and highlight Chihuahua’s industrial capacity to add value to dairy products.
Ulises Alejandro Fernández Gamboa, head of the Secretariat of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE), said that the forum will enable the role of innovation and technology in the development of the dairy sector to be analyzed, as well as strengthening the competitiveness of local producers.
Vicente Gómez Cobo, president of the Mexican Dairy Federation, indicated that the event will be a space to propose adjustments to the sector’s public policies, with the support of specialists and producers.
In addition, Vicente Armendáriz Martínez, president of the Chihuahua Milk Product System, emphasized the importance of government support to address the drought through inputs such as fodder and antibiotics, as well as training for producers.

The event will also include an exhibition and marketing area, where producers will be able to present their products and explore business opportunities. The official inauguration is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on April 3.
