CHIHUAHUA – The city of Chihuahua is preparing to be the world epicenter of the extractive industry, as it will host the XIV International Mining Conference and Expomin from April 22 to 26.
The event is organized by the Association of Mining Engineers, Metallurgists and Geologists of Mexico, with the support of the Mining Department of the State of Chihuahua.
The Secretary of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE) informed that the event will be held at the Convention and Exhibition Center of the state capital. It said that as Chihuahua is one of the most outstanding entities in the industry, the conference will be a unique platform to strengthen ties in the mining sector, generate business opportunities, learn about and update technologies, and define strategies that will strengthen the industry.
The main objective is to promote the geological potential, to dynamize the supply of the state’s productive plant, and to bring the population closer to the processes of this industrial activity.
During the activities, topics such as mining exploration and exploitation, environmental sustainability, data sciences applied to artificial intelligence, among others, will be addressed, with a projected economic revenue of 70 million pesos and 4 thousand attendees including suppliers, exhibitors, speakers, students and the general public.
A total of more than 200 exhibitors will present cutting-edge services and equipment, as well as new projects and developments in the sector in the state and the country, while more than 30 national and international speakers will delve into the most current issues in the field.
