Companies from China and South Korea are planning to invest US$500 million in Nuevo Leon next year, although this shall be done with caution, due to the political panorama in the U.S., indicated the Ministry of Economy and Labor of Nuevo Leon, Fernando Turner.
Without mentioning names, Turner explained that such companies specialize mainly in the automotive sector, as well as the pharmaceutic, home appliances and steel industries. This investment is expected to generate over 2,000 direct jobs. Turner added that work meetings with 155 companies were held during this work tour, with companies from both countries, particularly two automotive assemblers from China.
