SALITLLO – A total of 42,773 jobs have been recovered from July 2020 to April 2021, placing Coahuila in seventh place nationally, positioning the state on the road to greater economic growth.
In Coahuila, more than 42,000 jobs were recovered during the months of July through November and more than 13,000 in the first four months of 2021; therefore, it is estimated that in the short term, the recovery of 100% of the jobs lost due to the COVID-19 pandemic could be announced.
It is worth noting that a total of 42,947 jobs were lost between March and June 2020; however, after a period of recovery in December of the same year, 9,465 jobs were lost due to year-end closings and contract expirations.
He added that, even with these processes, the numbers of jobs recovered are very positive and also reflect the increase in the number of vacancies in the labor exchange.
During April, in the Central Region of Coahuila, there was an increase of more than 800 workers registered under the IMSS in formal employment with full legal benefits.
In terms of employment generation, Coahuila is ahead of entities with a strong industrial vocation such as Querétaro, Guanajuato and Sonora.
“This is the product of coordination with all sectors involved in the productive life of Coahuila,” conclude the Governor.
