The Chinese BAIC has contacted several people from the State of Coahuila, informed the Ministry of Economic Development, Jose Antonio Gutierrez Jardon. The assembler has recently begun installing distributors in some Mexican states, but also some executives from the Company have disclosed the intention to establish a plant in Mexico with capacity from 100,000 to 150,000 units per year.
On the other hand, Gutierrez Jardon commented, regarding Hyundai, that the process is still in its initial stages, as the Company is setting its own timing, but the State of Coahuila will be very alert, following up on this matter.
