MONTERREY – With and investment of US$7.8 million, Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnologia (CONACYT) and Nuevo Leon’s government, will open an advanced manufacturing facility in Parque de Investigación e Inovación Tecnologica (PIIT) this year.
This center seeks to promote the development of Industry 4.0 in the state, where companies and academia will be able to use these facilities for research, development and engineering in additive manufacturing, robotics and automation.
“The whole project is done, as well as all the mechanism, now we only have to wait for the announcement of CONACYT through the new federal government,” stressed Américo García, undersecretary of industry, trade and services of Secretaría de Economía y Trabajo (SET) of Nuevo León.
This advanced manufacturing center is part of the efforts of the Nuevo Leon 4.0 initiative, a program that seeks to position the state as leader in Industry 4.0 in Mexico.
