CIUDAD JUAREZ – Nearly US$31,734 of the vehicular revalidation program will be allocated by Cruz Roja through its state delegation to the executive rehabilitation project of the building that will provide relief to migrants in the downtown area, according to Guadalupe Peñuelas, a spokesperson for the institution.
In addition, Gabriel Reyes, director of Cruz Roja in Juárez, said that the completion of the project to renew the disused structure is about to be completed, and estimates that it will be ready for the next month.
“We are still in the rehabilitation project of the medical unit of the Center. All the delegations are ready to give attention to the whole community. Likewise, the migrants will have the attention of any of the units and of our staff,” said the director.
Reyes said that, with an investment if US$634,484, the Red Cross will seek to start the center that will serve as “Casa del Migrante”, which will have a capacity of 80 to 100 people, in order to give relief to repatriates for 72 hours.
