CIUDAD JUAREZ – In order to move forward with its environmental objectives, the company Cummins, leader in technological solutions, implemented a waste water reuse system in the auxiliary services of its plant located in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.
For the past 20 years, the Cummins plant in Ciudad Juarez has been characterized for its active contribution to water recycling using a physical, chemical and biological reuse system, which treats all rinsing water from the washing processes of all production areas.
This solution allows the reuse of around 551,000 liters of water monthly and will allow the saving of more than 840,000 liters monthly in services such as cafeteria, toilets and air conditioners.
“At Cummins Mexico we will continue to invest in these types of actions that allow us to make a difference and compensate for our water consumption, always in line with our global goal,” commented Robert Rivas, director of the Cummins Ciudad Juárez plant.
The Cummins plant in Ciudad Juarez has an area of 19,000 square meters and operates with 2,600 employees, positioning itself as one of the largest plants in the world.
