Dart Container Corporation, currently operating in the Redondo Valley area in Tijuana, announced to State Government authorities, that it will expand its production capacity investing US$ 40 million, to finance larger facilities, infrastructure enhancements and an increase in shipments to its California market, according to an expansion project scheduled to end in 2020. Company officials were interested in the productive infrastructure projects that are promoted in Baja California, such as logistics in Ensenada, which includes the Port of El Sauzal and the railroad connection from Ensenada to Tecate, which will enable companies in the metropolitan area to receive and send inputs and merchandise by port at competitive costs for markets in the US, Asia and Latin America.
