MEXICALI, BC – The Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS) of Baja California, awarded the Safe Company Certification to Data Products, located in the Nicoya Industrial Complex, for its commitment to comply with health and safety standards.
Alejandro Arregui Ibarra, Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare, explained that there is a commitment to facilitate the process so that companies comply with current regulations and provide better working conditions.
“It is necessary to recognize the efforts of the management team and the commitment of the employees to achieve accreditation for the seventh consecutive year,” said Arregui.
Data Products has been operating in the city of Mexicali for nine years and has been dedicated to the remanufacturing of cartridges and household appliances for more than 40 years. Arregui commented that the certification not only benefits 1,250 employees, but also their families, because health is a component of integral wellbeing.
After the presentation of the award, a tour of the company and its different areas was made, where there was the opportunity to learn about the different production processes and the systems implemented for the safety of those who work in the plant, which manages a statistic of more than 2,350 days without any type of work-related accident in its different areas in the plant located in the capital of Baja California.
The ceremony was attended by the Vice President, Carlos Chávez; the Operations Manager, Juan Carlos Verduzco; the Human Resources Manager, Mónica Morua; the Industrial Safety and Environment Coordinator, Marissa Zavala, as well as the Social Welfare Director, Carmen Lidia Salazar Guerra and the STPS advisory team.
