CHIHUAHUA – The Ministry of Innovation and Economic Development of Chihuahua headed the meeting of the Regional Coordination of the State Economic Development Council (CODECH), for the presentation, follow-up and review of projects that promote economic development in the state.
The meeting was held at the TechnologyHUB facilities in Ciudad Juárez, where the results of the 2023 strategies were analyzed, as well as the talent diagnostics in the aerospace and wine sectors.
Regarding smart specialization initiatives, the creation of Startup Chihuahua and the strengthening of the Chihuahua Espectacular brand were finalized.
In addition, progress was shown focused on the economic vocations of the different regions of the state for 2024.
For the regions of Madera and Casas Grandes, initiatives related to tourism were addressed; as for Nuevo Casas Grandes, projects related to peach production were reviewed; and in the case of Ciudad Juárez, digital services and transportation were examined.
In the case of Parral, plans to improve the production of walnuts and dairy products and their derivatives in the town of Cuauhtémoc were continued, while in Chihuahua City, information technology and the development of digital content will be promoted.
It should be noted that the members of the Economic Development Councils (CODER) agreed to focus their efforts in the coming months on economic diversification thanks to technologies such as artificial intelligence, the updating of projects in the automotive sector map and renewable energies, among others.
In addition, their representatives reaffirmed their commitment to work in coordination with business organizations, the academic sector and the Executive Branch through its various secretariats.
