Eight firms will arrive to Tijuana, Baja California, with a direct investment per US$58 million and a creation of over 3,400 jobs, informed Cristina Hermosillo, President of Economic and Industrial Development in Tijuana (DEITAC).
Five out of the eight companies are part of the medical sector, which keep growing as a result of the interest of suppliers of established companies and the minimum wage increase in some states of the U.S. Mr. Hermosillo Ramos stated that those firms come from the U.S., Denmark and Asia, and that the projects will be to manufacture cervical collars, metal parts for stretchers, surgery clips, hearing devices, among others.
