EL PASO, TX – El Paso Electric Utility (EPE) officially launched an online electric vehicle shopping tool, a free, bilingual listing for users to purchase the car that best suits their needs.
The launch of the tool, through the website epelectric.com/ev, is considered by EPE to be the latest piece of the utility’s ongoing efforts to bring progressive and innovative technologies, resources and services to the Paso del Norte region.
The online platform in English and Spanish is the first of its kind to be offered in the Southwest Texas region. While the site is poised to offer EPE customers greater choice when it comes to personal transportation needs, it will also serve to help achieve the company’s environmental and sustainability goals.
“Transportation and its impact on our society is powerful, so we are dedicating resources to make the most of this opportunity to offer our customers cleaner, more affordable options while improving the quality of life for the community we serve,” said EPE Vice President of Sustainability and Energy Solutions Jessica Christianson.
The new website will provide customers with comprehensive resources to support and enhance their current electric vehicle ownership, and to help buyers source units with minimal cost and maximum confidence.
“Our online electric vehicle shopping tool will help educate customers about the benefits of electric vehicles, while immediately connecting them with the car that meets their needs. This will allow customers to discover available models, compare and learn about available incentives,” said EPE Electrification Supervisor Angie Rodriguez.
