EL PASO, TX – The City of El Paso, Texas Purchasing and Strategic Sourcing Department will host the 10th Annual Cooperative Purchasing Expo on March 29th at the Judson F. Williams Convention Center.
The El Paso City Council indicated that the Purchasing Expo is the largest business networking opportunity in the Southwest part of the state.
Local officials noted that the expo is an opportunity for local businesses to grow by learning how they can participate in cooperative contracts used by government agencies across the country.
Cooperative agreements offer suppliers the opportunity to sell their products and services in large quantities in the United States. Resource partners will provide information on bonding, financing, state and federal certifications, and much more on how to do business with government agencies.
Through the City of El Paso’s official website, it is explained that cooperative contracts can help businesses grow by establishing contacts through business-2-business and business-2-agency.
The City of El Paso, El Paso County, School Districts, Colleges, Universities, EP Water, EP Electric, Fort Bliss, among other strategic partners are expected to participate in the event so that everyone can be under one roof and interact with suppliers.
The event which will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. is free and open to the general public, however, pre-registration is recommended at https://eptxcooperativeexpo.vfairs.com/en/.
