EL PASO, TX – The city of El Paso has been recognized as the third best city for vacation travel in the United States, according to a new report from Forbes Advisor.
The report, “Worst Cities for Vacation Travel, Ranked,” evaluated 14 metrics covering driving experience, city experience and air travel. El Paso stood out for its low cost of living, mild climate and wide variety of tourist attractions.
“At El Paso International Airport, improving the traveler experience is our priority,” said Sam Rodriguez, El Paso’s director of aviation. “The results of this vacation travel survey show that our efforts to provide travelers with exceptional service, convenience and efficiency are being recognized during this busy vacation season.”
With a 9% increase in passenger traffic compared to last year and a significant 19% increase over pre-pandemic levels, El Paso International Airport anticipates a busy holiday season. Approximately 86,000 travelers are expected to depart between December 22 and January 2.
