The annual El Paso Startup Week is set to run from September 21st to 27th, uniting entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, and business leaders for a week dedicated to fostering small business development and strengthening the city’s innovation ecosystem.
Organized by a coalition of more than 20 Entrepreneur Support Organizations (ESOs) in coordination with the city’s Department of Economic and International Development, the seven-day event will feature conferences, workshops, and networking sessions. These activities are designed to facilitate the exchange of ideas and provide attendees with new strategies to grow their ventures.
The event caters to a diverse audience, from early-stage entrepreneurs and established business owners to investors seeking emerging opportunities. Its primary goal is to create a collaborative environment that provides access to key resources essential for business growth and sustainability.
El Paso Economic Development Director Karina Brasgalla highlighted the critical role small businesses play. “Small businesses represent a pillar of the region’s economy by contributing to job creation and neighborhood vibrancy,” she stated. “Every time we want to make a purchase or go out to eat, we encourage the public to consider doing so at a local business.”
Organizers emphasize that the event is also a driver for a more inclusive entrepreneurial culture, ensuring new ventures have access to essential tools and strategic connections needed to compete in an increasingly demanding market.
Beyond its educational offerings, Startup Week will provide invaluable opportunities for entrepreneurs to connect with potential partners, clients, and mentors, thereby expanding their professional networks and opening doors to broader markets.
