This year, 3,000 new jobs are expected to be created in Ensenada, double the number generated in 2017, said Jesús del Palacio Lafontaine, the Baja California Secretariat of Economic Development (Sedeco) delegate.
The growth in the labor supply is due to the expansion of activities and facilities that will be carried out by 10 companies already operating in the port city. Jobs will be added in the production of aerospace, automotive, medical and electronic goods.
The companies have asked to not be identified at this time. One firm is adding an industrial warehouse and a new 10,000 square meter plant. Last year, 1,475 new jobs were created in Ensenada.
