TAMAULIPAS – The Farmacias del Ahorro chain has announced an expansion plan in the state of Tamaulipas that contemplates an investment of US$46.6 million for the opening of different branches in the state.
The project not only contemplates the generation of 2,400 jobs in different regions of the state. The announcement was made during the inauguration of five new branches in Ciudad Victoria.
The Undersecretary of Small and Medium Enterprises of Tamaulipas, Mariana Álvarez, pointed out that the opening of the new units of the company is a reflection of the economic growth in the state and of the joint work between government and companies to create quality jobs.
For its part, the pharmacy chain highlighted the support of state authorities for its growth in the state to offer health products and services to more people.
The new units in the state capital are: Sucursal Tijerina, located at 8 Abasolo; Sucursal La Salle at LIB. Naciones Unidas 1021; Sucursal 19 Carrera located at 19; Sucursal Bicentenario at Carr. Federal 6 and Sucursal Campestre on Avenida del Valle.
The chain opened to the public for the first time on September 14, 1991 and to date has more than 19 thousand stores in the country.
