An electronics company from the U.S. might invest US$120 million in the Municipality of Guadalupe and will generate 2,000 jobs, said Juan Francisco Livas Cantu, Ministry of Economic Development of the City.
Despite the ongoing negotiations to establish the Firm, and there is competence with other states to attract this Company, there is a 70% chance that it will set up in Guadalupe. Regarding investment, the Officer said that the Municipality is very active after the arrival of Ragasa, which invested US$160 million and created 250 jobs. On the other hand, Ball Corporation announced an investment for US$200 million and the creation of 400 jobs this year.
