FDI in Chihuahua reached US$344 million

Foreign Direct Investment in the State of Chihuahua reached a US$344 million milestone in the first quarter of 2016, according to the Federal Ministry of Economy. There was a US$2.31 billion accumulated inflow during 2015, as detailed in the report.

The investment tends revolve especially around the manufacturing sector. The main sources of capital funds in Chihuahua are projects from Heineken, Safran, Bombardier, among other large manufacturing firms. The total capital inflow in 2014 was valued at US$1.46 billion.
