Film industry generated more than US$3 million in revenue in Baja California

In order to promote the production of audiovisual productions in Baja California, the state government, through Secretaría de Turismo (Secture), presented the statistical results of the film industry for 2018, with the generation of more than US$3 million.

In a statement, the head of the Secture, Oscar Escobedo Carignan, said that the tourism sector of filming is an industry that generates a large economic income for the state, hotel occupancy for long periods, well-paid jobs and helps to spread a positive image of the entity in the country and outside it.

He said that in 2018, an accumulated of 77 productions including short films, television programs, video clips, commercials, documentaries and feature films were recorded in various locations in the region, favoring its position in national and international cinema.
